Below is a sampling of grants awarded by the Averill Park Education Foundation

·         Fund the Albany Symphony Orchestra Adopt-A-School Program
·         Fund the Robotics Program for grades 7 and 8.
·         Purchased 22 netbook laptop computers and computer mobile cart for AMS.
·         Assisted in funding Rachel’s Challenge.  An anti-bullying program for MS and HS students.
·         Helped fund several musicals such as Bye, Bye Birdie, Anything Goes, and Into the Woods.
·         Purchased an iMAC computer and software for the APHS Forensics Program.
·         Refurbished and refinished a Wurlitzer Grand Piano for AMS.
·         Helped fund the Adventure Based Ropes Course Project at AMS.
·         Purchased a pottery wheel for APHS Art Department.
·         Purchased a simulated smokers lung comparison kit for the APHS.
·         Provided funding for the MH/SL playground.
·         Provided funding for The Garden Project at the APHS.
·         Purchased 3 electric violins for the APHS Orchestra.
·         Purchased a video camera, tripod and case for APHS Forensics
·         Supported the “A Touch of Woodwinds” performance for the entire APHS.
·         Purchased 30 pairs of snowshoes for 4^th and 5^th grades at Poestenkill Elementary School.
